Our Story
If you'd asked either of us in September 2024 whether we'd be planning a wedding, we'd probably have laughed… and then complained about online dating.
Then, Arpit changed his Hinge location to London. We matched the very next day and immediately discovered a shared love for Mario Kart, long walks, and a highly competitive streak over table tennis (or ping pong, depending on who you ask—the debate is still ongoing). Just like us matching on Hinge, our meeting also felt serendipitous. Within a day of matching, an opportunity popped up for Arpit to travel to London for work and we set a date for November 2024.
Our first date at Zizzi proved we got along just as well in person, and countless flights and a trip to Paris later, things became official. We navigated the time difference with long video calls and daily commutes spent playing our favorite puzzle game, Squaredle. Fast forward to November 2025: during a romantic horse and carriage ride through Windsor, Arpit proposed using a custom version of Squaredle he built just for the occasion to reveal a special message when Rushita opened it - "Rushi, will you marry me?"
The 2 possible answers were "Yes or Absolutely Yes." Thankfully, Rushita chose correctly!
November has always been our milestone month, so it only felt right to celebrate our Indian wedding then, too—this time somewhere a lot warmer. We can't wait to make even more memories with you all in Mexico!
Q&A
Which airport should I fly into?
Do I need a visa to visit Mexico?
Visa requirements depend on the passport you hold.
UK passport holders do not need a visa for tourist visits to Mexico and will be granted entry on arrival, subject to immigration approval.
US passport holders also do not need a visa for tourism.
If you hold a passport from another country, visa requirements may vary. Please check with your nearest Mexican Embassy or Consulate well in advance of travelling to confirm the latest entry requirements.
Please note that your passport should be valid for the duration of your stay (although at least six months' validity is recommended). Officials may ask you for proof of return flight and accommodation details upon arrival.
How long does it take to get from the airport to the resort?
What flights are available from London, New York and India?
London: Direct flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Cancún (CUN) take approximately 10–11 hours; one-stop flights are also available from Heathrow and other UK airports.
New York: Direct flights from JFK and Newark (EWR) to Cancún (CUN) take approximately 4–5 hours.
India: There are no direct flights to Cancún. Most routes involve one or two connections, with total journey times typically ranging from 20–28 hours depending on your departure city and layovers.

What is the weather like in November?
November is one of the best times to visit Cancún, with warm temperatures, lower humidity and plenty of sunshine. Expect daytime temperatures of 28–30°C (82–86°F) and evenings around 22–24°C (72–75°F).
So we recommend packing:

When will my room be ready?
After check-in, rooms are typically ready between 3-4pm so if you plan on arriving on the day of an event, ensure you factor this into your time for getting ready.
Check-out is usually 11-12pm latest.

Will all of the wedding events take place at Moon Palace?
Will food be served at the events?
Vegetarian food will be served during all of our events. Outside of the events, you have the option to dine at the international buffets and the various restaurants on-site as part of your all-inclusive package. We recommend booking your table for restaurants after check-in so you can select the timings that suit you for the duration of your stay. Can dietary requirements or allergies be accommodated?
Please let us know in detail about any dietary or allergy requirements when you RSVP.
Outside of the wedding events, we recommend dining at restaurants such as Agra and Momo where the waiters can cater to specific requests.
Are children or plus ones invited?
Can I book my room directly with the resort or through another website?
Moon Palace requires all wedding guests staying at the resort to book their accommodation using our dedicated booking links. This is a resort requirement to ensure your reservation is linked to our wedding.
If you choose to stay at another hotel, please note that Moon Palace requires non-resort guests to purchase a day pass, at their own expense, for each day they wish to attend events at the resort. Day passes are approximately $150 USD per person, per day (subject to change and resort availability), which can add up quickly over the course of the celebrations. Our negotiated room rates are fully flexible and refundable, giving you added peace of mind should your plans change. Guests staying four nights or more will also receive complimentary round-trip airport transfers and resort credit as part of their booking.

Can I extend my stay?
How do we get around the resort?
The resort is big, so allow 10-15 mins to get between venues. 'Lobby to Lobby' shuttle buses run every 15 mins connecting the different lobbies of each section of the resort. There are also designated golf carts stops which are useful at getting you closer to your room or specific event locations.
